MKV is not a compressed format, but a Matroska media file which is a new multimedia packaging forma and also called Multimedia Container. It could package multiple videos with different coding, more than 16 audios with different coding and different language subtitles into one Matroska media file. The main feature of MKV must be that it could contain multiple different coding type’s videos, audios and subtitles. While on the other hand, VOB is a file which used to save all the MPEG-2 format audios and videos. It is often used on DVD. Step 2: please start the MKV converter and click to input the MKV videos.
You can preview the video by clicking the buttons under the view screen. Just choose the output video formats as VOB and designate a folder for the output video.
